On the 24th of October 2017 the event "Anthropology and Law - a Coversation with Mark Goodale" took place at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU Berlin). The event was part of the Law & Society Lecture Series of the Law & Society Institute Berlin and was dedicated to the recently published monograph "Anthropology and Law: A Critical Introduction" by Mark Goodale.

After a short opening statement by the author several speakers commented on individual chapters. Jonas Bens commented on the chapter "Law and the Fourth World" and spoke generally about indigenous rights in legal anthropology and the relevance of legal anthropology today.
