The open source e-learning portal provides for all who are interested with insights into the challenges of managing research data in ethnographic disciplines. In addition to information on the secure storage of sensitive data, the creation of truly secure passwords, the best procedures for anonymising and pseudonymising personal data and the methodological requirements associated with the increasing merging of online and offline communications, we also explain what needs to be considered when archiving research data and making it available for possible reuse.
