The workshop aims to deepen the connection between the increasing spread of right-wing extremist ideas as well as issues around gender. Areas of research include the role of the so-called nuclear family for right-wing extremist doctrine, right-wing extremist ideas of masculinity, the anti-gender discourse as well as the appropriation and subversion of feminist ideas by right-wing extremists. In the context of researching these developments, new theoretical approaches are also emerging, such as the concept of the "manosphere" as a phenomenon in social media.

Guests from four different universities will participate in the panel.

The event will take place on 17 November 2023 from 13:00 to 18:00 in the IfPuK seminar room at Otto-von-Simson-Straße 3.
