Charlotte Naab
Charlotte Naab (she/her) is a PhD student in the Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies at the University of Bern, Switzerland, where she has also obtained her Master’s degree in Anthropology of Transnationalism and Gender Studies. Her research interests include critical migration studies, social movement studies, and affect studies. Her current PhD project examines the affective arrangements among activists involved in migrant support in the Moroccan–Spanish borderland. It investigates how emotions both shape and are shaped by practices and relationships of solidarity. It also explores how activists navigate the border as an affective environment, marked by violence and resistance.
