The series of publications is edited by Birgitt Röttger-Rössler and the 'Anthropology of Emotion' department at the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology and the CRC 1171. It is part of the continuing education module "Social and Cultural Diversity in Childhood and Upbringing. Booklet 1 has already been published, which sheds light on the cultural diversity of family constellations, welfare systems and attachment patterns. It deals critically with the psychological attachment theory, the universal validity of which is doubtful from a social anthropological perspective.
