DGV conference at Freie Universität Berlin
From October 4 to 7, 2017, the conference Zugehörigkeiten – Affektive, moralische und politische Praxen in einer vernetzten Welt“ organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Völkerkunde (DGV) took place at Freie Universität Berlin. The conference team included Hansjörg Dilger, Birgitt Röttger-Rössler, Olaf Zenker, Dominik Mattes, and Anita von Poser, who participated in the panel "Doing Anthropology Ethically. Is Formalisation the 'Solution'? panel.
Furthermore, Jörg-Christian Lanca gave a lecture in the panel "Embodied belonging: In/exclusion, health care, and well-being in a world in motion".
In his lecture "Discontinued Belonging and Continued Neglect" Jörg-Christian Lanca examined the interplay of intersectional situatedness, embodied belonging and well-being using the example of aging Vietnamese who migrated to the GDR as contract workers.
