Jonas Bens and Olaf Zenker presented the work of the research project B04 in a panel entitled "Affects of Justice: Ethnographies of Emotion, Sentiment and the Law" at the annual conference of the American Anthropological Association (AAA), which took place from 29.11. to 03.12.2017 in Washington D.C.

Olaf Zenker presented the paper "Sentiments of Justice and the Politics of Sentiment: The International Criminal Court in Northern Uganda", and Jonas Bens' presentation was called "Sentimentalizing Persons and Things: Negotiating the Political, the Legal, the Holy, and the Profane in the Al-Mahdi Case before the International Criminal Court."
