The conference "Belonging: Affective, Moral and Political Practices in an Interconnected World" by the German Anthropological Association (GAA) took place in Berlin from the 4th to 7th October 2017.

Jonas Bens, together with Larissa Vetters from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, organized a panel entitled "Who is afraid of official law? Studying law and belonging by bridging approaches from legal anthropology, legal sociology and the anthropology of the state". Jonas Bens presented a paper called "The courtroom of the International Criminal Court as an affective arrangement".
