Theatre in Turbulent Times: Producing, Archiving, Imagining (Language: German)
Jule Gorke, Doris Kolesch, Theresa Schütz and Matthias Warstat (Freie Universität Berlin), Signa & Arthur Köstler (SIGNA), Katharina Pelosi (Swoosh Lieu)
Language: German
How do cultural policy debates and broader societal transformations shape the aesthetics and production practices of artistic work? What strategies enable ecologically and socially sustainable theatre production within the independent scene? What challenges arise when it comes to archiving immersive and politically engaged performances? And how can theatre open up imaginative spaces for future ways of relating?
These and other questions will be discussed by Jule Gorke and Theresa Schütz together with Signa & Arthur Köstler, who have been creating immersive performances with SIGNA for over 25 years, as well as Katharina Pelosi from the queer-feminist collective Swoosh Lieu.
