"Umupashi bwa Nanfumu - The Spirit of the Queen"
Spring is coming and we thought it is time for a party again! We would like to invite you to celebrate with us the opening of the virtual exhibition "Umupashi bwa Nanfumu - The Spirit of the Queen" that Zambian photographers Edith Chiliboy and Patrick Chilaisha realized together with photographer and Cambridge based researcher Kerstin Hacker. The exhibition is the result of their digital fellowship at the Affect and Colonialism Web Lab and addresses the untangling of Zambia’s missionary and colonial history through photographic practices. We are especially thrilled to have the three of them in Berlin with us for a whole week - and we have several exciting events planned!
On Friday, April 29th starting at 6:30 pm we will host the opening party at Oyoun (Lucy-Lameck-Str. 32, 12049 Berlin). There will be a short presentation and Q&A with Edith, Kerstin and Patrick, vegan fingerfood by abadän, bar service and music by DJ Folly Ghost. Entrance is free, no registration needed.
