In 2021 the first projects of our public relations module started, which involve cooperations between certain subproject with external partners. It aims at entering into dialogue with actors in their respective fields of study and at further improving the transfer of insights.

Digital Storytelling in Vietnamese Berlin

In cooperation with VLab Berlin und and the Dokumentationszentrum für Migration in Deutschland, the subprojects A01 and A02 are working on a Digital Storytelling format on Vietnamese migration to Germany.

Workshop for journalists: "Fear, Anger and Grief - Emotions in Migration Reporting."

What images do we have in mind when we think of migration to Germany? Which narratives are available and archived? What emotions are generated? What remains hidden? Which stories are not documented for posterity? These questions were explored in a cooperation between the project B02, the Verein die Neuen deutschen Medienmacher*innen (NdM) and the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (bpb).

Documentary film "Becoming Present: Religious Diversity in Berlin"

Project C03 and visual anthropologist Thomas John collaborated on the documentary feature Becoming Present: Religious Diversity in Berlin in which they explored the (in)visiblity of religious diversity in Berlin. The film accompanies its protagonists through their religious and every-day life via biographical and narrative interviews.

The ten-part, bilingual video series explored forms of care in viet german lives.
