Jyväskylä: Discourse Hub seminars Autumn 2020
With a strong emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach, the Jyväskylä Discourse Hub (JDH) seminars are a dedicated space for the presentation, discussion and debate on ongoing research on the topic of linguistic anthropology. The Discourse Hub Seminars Autumn 2020 sought to bring special attention to new arising projects and their respective showcasing with the intent of crafting a community of critical discourse studies.
On November 10, Jonas Bens explored the interconnections between linguistic anthropology and affect theory, presenting a paper titled "The Concept of Affective Arrangement in Courtroom Ethnography", in which he discussed the study of affective dynamics in law and language research.
