The Global Meeting on Law and Society 2022 Conference “Rage, Reckoning & Remedy” took place in Lisbon, Portugal, from July 13 to 16, 2022. The conference centred itself around a critical examination of issues of race, colonialism, and the legacies of slavery. Participants explored communities' demands to end racial inequality, putting front and centre the urgency to grapple with the pains and realities of past and present injustice.

On July 13, and inserted in the panel Decolonisation of Plural Legal Orders, Jonas Bens presented his paper "Pluralizing Property Regimes in the Colonial World: The Controversies on Restituting Ethnographic Museum Collections".
