Current research project:

The PhD project „Affected acts, enacted emotions – immersive strategies of contemporary forms of theater“, which is part of the subproject „Reenacting Emotions. Strategies and Politics of Immersive Theater“ of CRC 1171 „Affective Societies“, will be looking at the mechanisms and effects of affective processes in immersive and participative forms of art, as well as the techniques through which intensive emotional involvement come into being. Its focus will be on how in forms of art and theater, the circulation of emotion repertoires is a prerequisite, but is also constantly repeated. The project will also examine how aesthetic formats can lead to the constitution of alternative, updated forms of affective and emotional experience.
