Hauke Lehmann is a postdoctoral researcher at the CRC Affective Societies at the Freie Universität Berlin. He studied Film Studies in Berlin and Prague.

Focal points of his research are theories of filmic affection (especially theories of suspense) and cinematic temporality, the historicity of film as well as the American Cinema of the 1960s and 1970s.
