2021 Stirling Prize for Best Published Work in Psychological Anthropology goes to social and cultural anthropologists Anita von Poser and Edda Willamowski

We are pleased to announce that on 20 November 2021 Anita von Poser and Edda Willamowski were awarded the 2021 Stirling Prize for Best Published Work in Psychological Anthropology at the Annual Meetings of the American Anthropological Association (AAA).

The two social and cultural anthropologists were honoured for their joint article "The Power of Shared Embodiment: Renegotiating Non/belonging and In/exclusion in an Ephemeral Community of Care" (published in: Culture, Medicine, and Psychiatry 2020 (44): 610-628). The prestigious prize is awarded annually for outstanding scientific work in the field of psychological anthropology by the Society for Psychological Anthropology (SPA) of the AAA.
