Project C01 Emotion and Affect within the Context of Authoritarian Transformations is organizing a workshop on December 5th and 6th about Affective Politics and Political Transformation in Turkey and Egypt. On December 5th Yael Navaro of University of Cambridge is going to hold a keynote followed by a reception at Freie Universität Berlin.

Yael Navaro, Reader in Social Anthropology and Fellow and Director of Studies at the Newnham College at the University of Cambridge, will deliver a keynote speech on “Affective Regimes in Turkey and Beyond”. She is the author of Faces of the State: Secularism and Public Life in Turkey (Princeton 2002) and The Make-Believe Space: Affective Geography in a Postwar Polity (Duke 2012).
