The Diversity Affects | Troubling Institutions - Conference 2021, which took place on May 28 and 29, 2021, had as a focus the consideration of the multiply intertwined processes of institutionalizing diversity, on the one hand, and their affective repercussions within and beyond institutional settings, on the other. To achieve such, academics from various backgrounds were invited to approach questions of affect, emotion and diversity.

At this conference, Paola Ivanov moderated the panel Museum Queeries which took place on May 28. The panel engaged with notions of queer and gay museology and their importance to increase diversity in institutional settings.
