Marie Lunau (sie/ihr)  ist eine Queer-Theoretikerin, die sich mit Fragen zu Geschlecht, Sexualität, Migration, Asyl, Rassifizierung, Antikolonialismus, feministischen Erkenntnistheorien, Affekttheorie und Archivwissenschaft beschäftigt. Marie ist derzeit als Postdoktorandin am Institut für Kommunikation und Kunst der Universität Roskilde in Dänemark im Rahmen des Projekts „New Histories of Female Same-Sex Relations 1870–2020“ tätig. Bevor sie dem Projekt beitrat, promovierte sie 2024 im Fach Soziologie mit der Arbeit The Affective Politics of Queer Migration: On Affective Ambivalence, Truth and Queerness.

Marie Lunau's Forschungsinteressen beziehen sich auf Fragen zu Geschlecht, Sexualität und Affekt im historischen Kontext queerer Archive sowie im Zusammenhang mit Asyl, Migration und Zugehörigkeit aus queerer Perspektive. Darüber hinaus interessiert sie sich für antikoloniale Perspektiven, Widerstand, feministische Erkenntnistheorien und Affekttheorie.
