Ricarda Ameling ist Doktorandin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am SFB "Affektive Societies“ und arbeitet zu Affekt und Emotionen im Kontext der autoritären Transformationen in Ägypten nach 2011. Sie hat Islamwissenschaft und Politikwissenschaft an der FU Berlin und der American University in Cairo studiert. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen gegenwärtige politische und kulturelle Transformationen in der MENA-Region, Nationalismus, Gender, postkoloniale Theorie sowie kritische Theorie. Sie sammelte Arbeitserfahrung bei der Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) und internationalen Organisationen mit den Schwerpunkten Migration sowie Friedens- und Entwicklungsarbeit.
