Emotions influence all areas of social life.

Yes, they make a significant contribution to society coming into being in the first place. But how does this happen? Who feels what and who is allowed to feel what? Which feelings are hidden and marginalized and which are acceptable?

The Collaborative Research Center Affective Societies at Freie Universität Berlin is addressing these questions. Since 2015, more than 50 researchers from 10 disciplines have been working to make emotionality visible as a central aspect of the social.

The podcast accompanies Birgitt Röttger-Rössler and Margreth Lünenborg in conversation with each other and with guests about their research topics, surprises at work, and how it feels when reality completely ignores project planning.

As of November 2020, the podcast is launched here, on our blog, available at affective-societies.de or on all common podcast players.
