Affective Publics Lecture
The series addresses the changing structure and nature of publics -both in different configurations of physical co-presence and in mediatized and digitally networked forms. The contri-butors to the series, who come from history, social anthropology, literary studies as well as media and communication studies, will consider how contemporary concepts of the public sphere must be re-formulated in order to grasp the emerging complexity of current publics and think about the role of affects and emotions in their very formation.
